Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 06 November 2026

Scope of the Policy

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related services offered through wordixa. These include professional training programmes covering video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work and the creation of high-quality feeds for news and broadcasting. The policy covers both one-time course purchases and any subscription-based access to ongoing training materials. It does not apply to free resources or third-party products linked from the site.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Additional charges may arise for optional extras such as extended access periods, certification exams or personalised tutoring sessions. These extras are clearly marked before checkout. Currency conversion fees charged by your card issuer or bank remain your responsibility and are not included in the displayed price.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfers. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant gateways that encrypt your financial details. wordixa does not store complete card numbers on its servers. Authorisation holds may appear on your statement until the transaction completes or is cancelled.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

Once you submit an order you will receive an email confirming receipt. A binding contract forms only when we send a separate acceptance email containing access instructions or login details. Until that point either party may cancel without penalty. Digital course materials are deemed delivered upon provision of login credentials.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have 14 days from the date of contract formation to cancel. For digital content, the right to cancel ends once you begin downloading or streaming the material and acknowledge this loss of rights. Subscription services may be cancelled at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available for unused courses within the 14-day cooling-off period provided no substantial content has been accessed. Exclusions apply to customised training packages, completed certification exams, promotional bundles already redeemed and any services fully performed at your request. Non-refundable items remain accessible until the end of any paid access period.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund contact mediaandbroadcast@bt.com or submit the form on the Contacts page. Include your order number, full name, email address associated with the purchase and a brief reason. Requests must be made within the applicable time limits. You will receive an acknowledgement within two working days.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification

Our team reviews each request against the eligibility criteria. You may be asked to confirm that no substantial content was accessed. Decisions are communicated by email within ten working days. If approved, a refund confirmation follows; if rejected, clear reasons and any available alternatives are provided.

Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within five to ten working days, while PayPal refunds process within three working days. Bank transfers may take up to fourteen days depending on your institution. You will receive email notification once the refund has been initiated.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers

Digital courses are non-returnable once access begins. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers and gift vouchers carry no cash value and are non-refundable except where required by law. Partial refunds may be issued for mid-term cancellations of annual subscriptions on a pro-rata basis.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

Failed payments must be resolved within seven days or access will be suspended. Duplicate charges are investigated and corrected within five working days upon notification. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may result in permanent account suspension. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account freeze and referral to relevant authorities while preserving your consumer rights.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. These rights cannot be excluded or limited. If any term conflicts with mandatory law, the statutory provision prevails.
